The Minister of Higher Education holds a meeting with the delegation of the British University of Southampton to discuss scientific and academic cooperation

prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, met with a delegation from the British University of Southampton, to discuss joint scientific and academic cooperation, in the presence of Dr. Muhammad Al-Sharqawi, Assistant Minister for Finance and Investment, at the Ministry's headquarters in the Special Education Building in the Fifth Settlement.

At the beginning of the meeting, the minister stressed the depth of bilateral relations between Egypt and Britain, praising the increased cooperation between the two countries in the field of university education, stressing the need to exchange scientific expertise between Egyptian and British universities. To enhance the experiences between the two sides.

The minister praised the relations between the United Kingdom and Egypt in the field of higher education development, stressing the Egyptian state's keenness to benefit from global expertise in developing Egyptian education, reviewing the university system in Egypt, which varies between public, and private universities and branches of foreign universities, in addition to institutes and academies.

The minister added that Egypt always seeks to develop the quality of education, while benefiting from distinguished foreign expertise, exchanging science and knowledge, and reducing the chances of our students' alienation abroad, especially while giving them the opportunity to obtain foreign education and also obtain international certificates within their country, as well as contributing to attracting students. During the meeting, the minister discussed with the delegation of the British University of Southampton increasing opportunities for scientific, research and academic cooperation, pointing to the ministry's vision in developing the higher education and scientific research system in Egypt, and providing global higher education opportunities within the country, as well as the importance of exchanging experiences with international universities in the scientific fields.

Dr.Mohamed El-Sharqawy, Assistant Minister for Finance and Investment, stressed the importance of enhancing aspects of joint academic cooperation and increasing investment opportunities in the field of higher education in Egypt, stressing the ministry's interest in strengthening partnerships and scientific and research cooperation, increasing student exchange programs, and supporting current higher education partnerships between Egypt and the United Kingdom.

For its part, the delegation of the British University of Southampton welcomed the cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and the support of relations in the various scientific, research and academic fields, and praised the great boom that Egypt witnessed at the level of higher education and scientific research during the past years, and its diversity of universities and support for partnerships with international universities. .
