It is worth noting that the Egyptian Observatory for Science, Technology and Innovation Indexes at the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology has prepared the report on the results of the rankings of scientific research institutions which are prepared by the Scimago Foundation for the ranking of global research institutions for the year 2021. This ranking is concerned with arranging universities and research centers according to an index that combines three different indexes that are based on research performance (50%), innovation outputs (30%), and societal impact (20%). Each major index includes a number of sub-indexes. The institution should publish no less than 100 papers in the SCOPUS database in the year of evaluation.
