At the beginning of the meeting, the minister praised the distinguished bilateral relations between Egypt and Italy, stressing the strength of scientific and educational relations between the two countries, especially in the fields of higher education and scientific research, noting the importance of continuing to implement joint scientific projects between Egypt and Italy, and benefiting from the Italian experience in areas that are distinguished Italy has engineering, energy, technological and technical education. During the meeting, Dr. Ayman Ashour, the strategy of higher education and scientific research, which is in line with achieving sustainable development goals (Egypt's Vision 2030), noting that we have 27 public universities, 27 private universities, 20 private universities, 10 technological universities, and 7 branches of international universities in the New Administrative Capital, Stressing that the ministry has implemented an ambitious plan to expand the availability of higher education and keep pace with the increase in the population, adding that the new universities focus in their programs on linking education and industry in a way that meets the state's priorities and needs in the areas of development, and provides job opportunities for graduates in line with the needs of the labor market. . The minister explained that the future vision for the system of higher education and scientific research (2022-2032) aims to pay attention to the internationalization of higher education, and to maximize partnership with prestigious international universities, especially in the field of technology, in light of the rapid technological progress that the world is witnessing. For his part, the Italian ambassador praised the Egyptian-Italian cooperation relations in the sectors of higher education, expressing his happiness at the success of the cooperation experiences with Egypt, especially in the field of technical and technological education, such as the "Don Bosco" school, stressing the continuation of cooperation in implementing joint scientific projects between the two countries.
