Cultural Affairs and Missions Sector is one of the state’s service sectors with a ​special importance at the internal and external levels as it is associated with ministries, state sectors, research entities and universities as well as Arab and foreign agencies such as Arab and foreign embassies, cultural bureaus and centers and international organizations. So, this sector is prioritized by the ministry of higher education as this vital sector is concerned with international cultural affairs. It is in charge of Egyptian mission students abroad studying the required modern academic specialties within an upgraded system concerned with enhancing research as one of the pillars of societal service in our modern world. It plays a major role in disseminating Egypt’s culture and promoting it worldwide and addresses all international changes that have influence on the cultural and historical role of Egypt through a network of cultural bureaus and centers abroad. The sector is also interested in cultural exchange and international agreements and programs providing Egyptian citizens with opportunities to get acquainted with the latest technological developments in all fields. In addition to taking care of foreign students, it also enhances openness to foreign cultures through foreign cultural centers in Egypt whose activities it follows up.
